Privacy policy

Lobi Space keeps as little about you as the job requires, and shares even less. This page explains what we collect, why, how long we hold it, and the specific protections that apply to your mobile number.
What we collect
- Contact details: name, any business or alternate names we accept mail under, email address, mobile number, physical addresses.
- Mail metadata: sender, carrier, tracking number, arrival and pickup timestamps, item size, and photographs of the outside of envelopes and parcels.
- Compliance documents: your USPS Form 1583, the two identification documents it requires, and notarization records.
- Account activity: plan, billing history, forwarding and scan requests, portal sign-ins, and the messages we send you.
- SMS consent records: the number you gave, which consents you granted or withdrew, where the consent came from, and when the number was verified.
How we use it
- To receive, identify, hold, release, forward and scan your mail.
- To notify you about arrivals, pickups, billing and compliance.
- To meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency, including responses to lawful USPS or law-enforcement requests.
- To operate and secure the member portal and to prevent fraud.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your mail contents or envelope images for advertising.
Text messaging and your mobile number
- Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with, or sold to, third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
- We share your number only with the messaging provider that delivers the message on our behalf, and only to deliver it.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by turning texts off in your member portal profile. Reply HELP for help.
- Service texts and marketing texts are separate consents. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect mail alerts, and turning texts off entirely never affects your mailbox.
Who we share data with
Service providers that make the service work — our messaging and email providers, payment processor, shipping carriers for items you ask us to forward, and our cloud hosting provider — each limited to what they need. We also disclose information where the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or a USPS inspection request.
How long we keep it
- Form 1583, identification records and mail-handling logs: retained for the period required of a CMRA, generally the life of the account plus four years.
- Envelope images: retained while the item is open, then for a short archival window for dispute resolution.
- SMS consent records: retained as long as your account is active and afterwards as evidence of consent, because carriers and regulators may ask us to produce it.
- Billing records: retained as required by tax and accounting rules.
Your choices
You can view and update your contact details, notification preferences and SMS consents in the member portal at any time. Ask the front desk for a copy of the records we hold about you, or for deletion of anything we are not required to keep.
Security
Documents and envelope images are stored in private, access-controlled storage. Staff access is limited by role, and every release of mail is logged with a signature.
